Application Guidelines
Read this before you apply.
Last updated: 28 August 2026
Please read this guide before completing your application. Incomplete or inaccurate applications may be delayed or rejected. All appointments are subject to BS 7858 security screening.
1. Before you start
Make sure you have the following ready:
- Proof of your right to work in the UK (passport, or share code).
- Your SIA licence details, if you hold one (type, number and expiry date).
- A 5-year employment history, including dates and reasons for any gaps.
- Details of two referees (name, relationship, email and phone).
- An up-to-date CV (PDF or Word, under 5 MB).
2. Right to work
You must have the legal right to work in the UK. Applicants without the right to work cannot be considered.
3. SIA licensing
Many of our roles require a valid SIA licence. If you don't yet hold one, tell us — some roles offer support to obtain one. If you do, please give accurate licence details so we can verify them with the SIA.
4. BS 7858 screening
As an SIA-standard security provider, all successful candidates undergo BS 7858 screening. This includes:
- Confirming your identity and right to work.
- Verifying your employment history, usually over the previous five years.
- Contacting your referees.
- A basic criminal-record check where required.
Providing false information may result in your application being rejected or, if already employed, dismissal.
5. What happens next
- We review your application and contact shortlisted candidates.
- You may be invited to an interview and asked to bring original documents for verification.
- Screening is completed before your start date.
